Volkswagen India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Orix India to offer its Indian customers a subscription-based car-owning model. Volkswagen India has announced that it will sign an Orix and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer its Indian customers a subscription-based car-owning model. In Phase 1, VW will launch subscription-based ownership options at 30 stores in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. Customers who choose to subscribe will get a car with a regular “white” license plate. Rental starts at ₹ 16,500 for Polo, ₹ 27,000 for Vent and ₹ 59,000 for T-Roc, with holding flexibility of 24 months, 36 months or 48 months. Monthly rent includes financing, maintenance and insurance. Operations are supported by ORIX Auto Infrastructure Services Ltd or OAIS. Volkswagen Passenger Cars India brand director Ashish Gupta said of the announcement: "We are pleased to expand our partnership with ORIX and strengthen our leasing and subscription platform. This focuses on providing prospects with an accessible and secure ownership experience."

FCA India Ties Up With Orix Auto To Offer Its Vehicles On Lease. FCA has started providing leasing solutions in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Pune and will soon be rolling it out in other cities. The service won't be limited to the Jeep Compass or any particular model. All FCA cars and even those which will be launched India later will be available on lease. Speaking about the association, Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FCA India, said, "This innovative partnership will enable customers to lease the award-winning Jeep Compass without having to pay for the vehicle outright and enjoy the cash flow benefits. This partnership strengthens our commitment to providing the Jeep ownership experience to our Indian customers through innovative avenues." FCA has started with the service in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Pune and will be rolling it out in other cities as well very soon. The idea is to make the leasing solution easily available for general customers. Other carmakers like, Hyundai, Mahindra and Nissan have also partnered with self-drive car aggregators to offer their vehicles on lease.

In addition to corporate customers, the programme has been specially rolled out for individual customers as well." As the automaker claims, this car lease plan will offer many other benefits to customers like comprehensive insurance plans, maintenance packages, tax management and curated rentals as per requirement.

Skoda India ties up with Orix for new car leasing. Skoda Auto India has entered into a partnership with Orix Auto Infrastructure Services to offer a range leasing solutions on its vehicles through the latter’s existing business network and as well as through Skoda Auto dealer partners. The company says the monthly lease rental for Skoda model range will start at Rs 19,856 and will cater to retail and corporate customers across segments. The company will provide a range of flexible leasing solutions, including lease for up to five years on the Skoda Auto model range — Rapid, Octavia, Superb, and Kodiaq. In the first phase, Skoda Auto leasing solutions will be offered to customers in eight cities, namely: Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad, before a nationwide rollout in the subsequent phase, as part of the 'India 2.0' project'. Skoda Auto says its leasing solutions incorporate benefits and services that include road tax, insurance, breakdown assistance, accidental repairs, end-to-end maintenance, scheduled tyre and battery changes, and a replacement vehicle. In addition, the company will offer customised services, subscription-based payment models, zero down payment, and complete avoidance of an unregulated and unorganised resale market, making leasing a 'Simply Clever' mobility solution and a feasible alternative to owning a car.
